51²è¹Ý¶ù tops lists for great financial aid, value, and happy students
51²è¹Ý¶ù continues to receive accolades as a top liberal arts college that offers some of the best financial aid in the country according to students; great value; an excellent first-year experience; impactful teaching; and an outstanding quality of life.
The Princeton Review again lists Skidmore as a âBest Value Collegeâ and names it the No. 1 school in the nation for âGreat Financial Aidâ for 2025 â based on student satisfaction with their financial aid packages. The publication notes Skidmore students enjoy some of the âBest Quality of Lifeâ (No. 12) and are among the âHappiest Studentsâ (No. 14) in the nation. They also enjoy some of the âBest College Food in New Yorkâ state (No. 4), according to Niche.com.
U.S. News & World Report, which year after year includes Skidmore on its list of leading âNational Liberal Arts Collegesâ (No. 36), is showcasing Skidmoreâs excellent âFirst-Year Experiencesâ and âUndergraduate Teaching.â The Wall Street Journal, Money, and Niche.com also continue to include Skidmore on their lists of top colleges in the United States. A number of Skidmoreâs 40+ majors and 50+ minors â including programs in art, anthropology, chemistry, economics, English, history, philosophy, psychology, sociology, and theater â have received recent callouts.
Skidmore is also receiving attention for making a difference: The Princeton Review names Skidmore among the âTop 20 Best Schools for Making an Impactâ (Private Schools, No. 16) and notes the Skidmore communityâs strong commitment to sustainability (âGreen Matters: Everyone Cares 51²è¹Ý¶ù Conservation,â No. 7).
