Joseph Cermatori, associate professor English, led a discussion with members of the cast and creative team behind a new staging of G. F. Handel's 1724 opera “” ("Julius Caesar in Egypt"), which is being performed at Hudson Hall in Hudson, New York. Cermatori is the production dramaturg and will be leading additional post-performance discussions throughout the month of April. The opera was recently selected as a New York Times Critics Pick for the spring classical music season. 

Masako Inamoto, associate professor of Japanese, co-authored a chapter titled "," published in the volume “Translation, Translanguaging and Machine Translation in Foreign Language Education.” 

Lead Instructional Technologists Aaron Kendall and Ben Harwood and Professor of American Studies and Director of the Center for Leadership, Teaching, and Learning Beck Krefting presented “” at NERCOMP 2025, an EDUCAUSE-affiliated conference. Their session featured the Skill2Build AI Institute’s efforts to strengthen faculty-staff collaboration in academic innovation.

Brooke Paradise, associate dean of student affairs for inclusion and engagement, has been appointed to a two-year term on the Executive Board of the (NUFP), beginning Summer 2025. This prestigious appointment reflects Paradise's dedication to fostering the next generation of student affairs professionals. They are eager to contribute to NUFP's vital mission of creating a pipeline of talented young professionals and bring opportunities to Skidmore.
